Sure, we’re not as large as some of other big agencies out there. But we never think small. MaagCommplus was formed by Al Maag, former chief communications officer of Avnet, Inc. Our companies’ expertise lies in developing creative approaches around thought leadership and adding personality into a company and or in charity organizations. We are a full-service, fully integrated agency, offering big-time experience and talent—with the attention, speed and affordability that comes from a small-scale boutique.

After a unique career spanning four decades starting in Chicago, Al retired in 2013 as chief communications officer for Avnet, Inc., a Phoenix based Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s largest technology distributors at $27 billion in sales. Since 1998 he had an impact on its brand and employee engagement based on his community relations and PR efforts including Fortune naming Avnet as “most admired company” in its category 5 years in a row. During his tenure there he was voted Volunteer Executive of the Year by the Phoenix Business Journal in 2009.
Prior to joining Avnet, he ran his own public relations and communications consultancy, had served as director of advertising and communications for Molex, a manufacturer in the technology industry for 14 years, and as director of strategic planning at Cahners Publishing (later named UBM). Few marketing people have worked on the manufacturing, distribution, publishing and agency side.
Today he is founder and CEO of an agency focused on nonprofits. To that end he started a digital magazine and video portal, Giving Hope AZ in 2016. He is also a speaker, blogger and book author, Social Media isn’t Social. He is the past chairman and executive director of the national Business Marketing Association. Al is on quite a few local boards as well, including the PBS community advisory, Taliesin West ambassadors and the Miracle League of AZ for handicapped children and teens to play baseball. His passions include being the co-founder and historian of the Chicago 16 Inch Softball Hall of Fame and has been the organizer of the Maag Toy Foundation since 1990. Al is a long suffering Cub fan. Tiffany is a dedicated communications professional, with more than six years of experience in public relations and marketing. She is responsible for the development and execution of all the social media and marketing plans within MaagCommplus. She specializes in developing creative social media strategies, management, strategic planning, marketing for nonprofits, and brand building within various industries, including retail, and consumer product. Tiffany graduated from Arizona State University with a double major holding a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications and Creative Writing. While studying at ASU, she worked for a local fashion magazines; it is there she discovered her passion for PR. Outside of work she lives for traveling and spending time with her husband, close friends and family. Her free time is spent with her rescue dogs, staying updated with all things related to fashion, and practicing yoga. Follow Tiffany on Twitter

Sales and Marketing Development Manager
Joey is a recent ASU graduate with a degree in Business and Communication. During his years at ASU, Joey has worked for multiple organizations where he has gained experience working on numerous marketing and sales projects, as well as planning and implementing events. Joey brings his previous experiences to the MaagCommPlus team by handling the marketing and PR efforts for many of our clients, along with selling advertisement space for GivingHopeAZ Magazine. Outside of the office you can find Joey at a Cardinals game where he works as a part of the game day entertainment staff. Besides work, he enjoys spending his free time attending local sporting events, spending all of his money on food, and going to the movies.

Zack has been in the industry for more than six years and owns his own company called Zack Maag Productions. His clients include a few Phoenix based agencies, staging companies and the Business Marketing Association. Videographer, photographer, audio technician, video editor and production assistant. Zack contributes his talent and experience with cameras, audio and lighting, and green screen effects to showcase our clients’ products, services and areas of expertise. He also supports large meetings and performs outdoor event set-up, which makes him MaagComm+ go-to guy. With his innovative and artistic skills, Zack captures a unique story that adds value to any client project that is affordable and will enhance their brand. When not in the office you will find him with his family, and his beloved dog Zuul. He also enjoys camping, outdoor festivals with friends, movies or traveling around the world looking for new stories to capture.
